A Very Special Day for Our Family

December 23, 2011 was a very special day for our family. We went to the temple to be sealed to Madison and Zoe. The whole day was just perfect. We had fun taking pictures outside of the temple. Some are fun and some are serious. It was a very bright, sunny day. We learned quickly where to take pictures and where not to take them. It was hard to get everyone's eyes all open in the same picture as you can see. We had no one to take a picture of the whole family, so we asked a man driving out of the parking lot. What was so neat about it was that he had been adopted and sealed to his family years before. He was thankful for the opportunity to take the pictures for us, as it brought back special memories for him. It was wonderful to be at the temple so close to Christmas too. The man who sealed us all together had been in our ward when I was a child. He recognized my maiden name. His daughter and Vanessa had been friends way back when. It was a beautiful day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, there are no pictures from dinner. We did take our annual trip to the Kuhn's Florist window to see their Christmas theme. I guess this was our "kick-off" to the Christmas season! And, yes, I realize this picture of the girls on the trailer is blurry.....but it is the only one we took and I thought it captured a sweet moment. It was a very nice day! Happy Thanksgiving!!

One Year Ago

Vanessa sent these pretty flowers to Mom.

Happy Veterans Day!

It is hard to believe that it has been one year now since Dad/Pa passed away. We wanted to do something special to honor him, so we decided to "send messages" to him via helium balloons. It was just something small and fun for the children. We wrote short letters and attached them to balloons and watched them go "up" to him. It was a time to think of memories we each have with him. We captured some of it on camera. Dad/Pa, we miss you!

Halloween Fun!!

Here are some fun pictures from our Halloween festivities. We have a scarecrow, black cat, princess and fairy.........what cuties! Hope you all had as much fun as we did! There was a Fall festival/Trunk or Treat/Chili cook-off at church and then Trick or treating on Oct. 31st. Not a lot to say, so I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Happy Fall!
