Happy Halloween!

Yesterday, we had a fun time at our church Trunk-or-treat/Fall festival/Annual chili cook-off.

Sometimes I wonder about Zoe, LOL. She looked in the mirror and told me she was a pumpkin. I said, "Well, look again and tell me what you are." She said, "I don't remember." I said, "Try again." I guess the third time was the charm. She said, "Um, a cat?" I said, "Yep!" haha

Madison was Lilo from Lilo and Stitch. She carried around a stuffed Stitch. I am mad that I didn't get a picture of her with it!

Here we have Miss Cheerleader Brailyn. It was nice this year.......we did not buy anything! We chose to be thrifty and dig through our many collections of costumes. It was a "guilt-free" Halloween!

Hey, has anybody seen my sweet Gypsy Rose? Even mom dressed up! Never too old for a little fun! :)

Zoe and Madison at the RS duck pond. I am working the booth!

Eeewww! Better watch out or Pirate Andrew will get you! He is so cute! Although you can't see just how cute here, because you can't see his face!

Brailyn invited her friend, Tatiana, from school. She brought two more friends with her.

Did you know we had a visit from the tooth fairy? Yep! Here is Javon the tooth fairy:
Now on to "trunk-or-treating." The Gator fans are handing out candy to the little ones. Even though Tanner did some "trunk or treating" himself. Never too old for candy.

Even though it was officially the day before Halloween, we went trick or treating on the way home at Mema and Pa's house. They love to see the kids in their costumes and we knew that we may not get out on Halloween because of it falling on a Sunday this year.
It was a fun day! We had lots of fun family time. Happy Halloween everyone!

Happy birthday to.................ME! :)

Yesterday was my birthday. I had a wonderful day. I woke up to cute door decorations. So sweet! Brianna bought me a waffle maker and even made me waffles for breakfast. She made my favorite cake too. I went to lunch with my mom, sister and friend, Mary Kelley. Then later than night Rob took me out for dinner at Cracker Barrel. It was a happy day! I love my family!

Go Gators!!!!!!!

Latin Festival 2010

This past Saturday we attended the Annual Latin Festival at church. Tanner and Brailyn were asked to dance in the Colombian dance. Our church has a Spanish branch that meets in the same building. Each year they put on a huge Latin Festival. Our family has gone to many of them. Tanner danced in the dance last year and was asked to participate again. He was not too sure about doing it, but when he heard Brailyn was going to.........he allowed me to "twist" his arm to do it again. (Thank you, Tanner). I think he enjoyed it too. Most in the dance were of Latin heritage, but there were a few "gringos" (LOL) who joined in the fun too!

okay the eyes look kind of scary in this one:

Guatemala to honor Madison and Zoe:
And Honduras to honor Jordan, who is serving there as a missionary:
Tanner wanted to save his Honduran tamale for afterward. He probably didn't enjoy me making a "kodak" moment of his snack. I really need to find a new hobby. :)

Happy Birthday, Brianna!!

On October 13th we celebrated Brianna's 18th birthday. It is hard to believe that she is grown! Brianna has always been a joy to have around. She came in to this world with a happy personality. She has many talents. She always seems to be good at whatever she tries. She was very helpful from the earliest of times. She drove her nursery teacher crazy (sweetly) because she would line all the children's shoes up in an organized manner and she would take toys away from all the children if she thought the toy was too dangerous for such a young child and replace it with a much safer toy. ;) And later, her first grade teacher told me it was like having a teacher's aide. She would give Brianna a list of things to do for her and Brianna would do them without having to ask for directions again. She is a list maker and I love how organized she is.

I remember when she used to walk around on her toes when she was very tiny. They were curled under and she walked on the front part of her toes. (I can't even imagine doing that.) She would hold her hands over her head and twirl around like a ballerina. That is when we knew she was born to dance. I also remember when she was playing t-ball when she was four years old. Every time she would score, she thought that meant she had made a homerun. She would run up to the coaches and give them all a high five, saying, "I made a homerun!" She was the only girl on the team and they thought she was adorable. Well, a lot of time has passed since then. She is still as talented, charming, and as dazzling as she was then, but even more so. She is beautiful on the inside as well as on the out. (She requested the DQ ice cream cake - yum!)

I love the look of excitement on Brailyn's face as Brianna reads the card she made for her.
A delicious birthday breakfast made just for the birthday girl! Happy birthday, Brianna! We love you so much!! You may be grown but you will always be our little girl! xxoo
(Due to computer problems, I could not post this on Brianna's actual birthday.)
